Jim Wagner, Sr. began his career as a licensed plumber in 1962, HIS father was also a Chicago licensed plumber. Jim married and added 4 boys to the Wagner family; Mike, Bobby, Ron, and Jim Jr.
Jim passed away in 2003 and his oldest son, Mike Wagner, took over and gave the plumbing business a new face. Mike began in the industry in 1974 working for his father on weekends and in the summer when school was out. When he was 18 he decided to make plumbing his career as his father did and became licensed himself in 1982.
Sadly, Mike’s younger brother, Bobby passed away in February of 2009. Bobby is and will always be missed every remaining day of our lives. In addition, Jim Wagner, Jr. decided to go out on his own and begin his own endeavor in 2010.
Today, Mike and Ron Wagner are the two remaining original family plumbers at Wagner Family Plumbing & Drain, Inc. Lucky for us, Mike has 5 boys…yes you heard right…5 BOYS! Our hope is that someday when the boys are all grown up, we will be blessed enough for them to want to work for their family’s business as their grandfather, father, and uncles have.
We promise to treat you and your family/business as if you were a part of our own.
P.S. Our logo is a based on a family picture taken at Mike’s home for Christmas in December 2000. The little boy is Mike’s oldest, Michael, who is now 12 years old.
